Think about it: how often during the day does something wet need to be dried or wiped off? Oh sure, you COULD use a cloth towel of some kind to wipe it up… but after you use it ONE time, what happens?
That’s right – it’s still wet, and even if you ring it out really, really well, it’s still going to be slightly wet.
And what happens to that slightly wet cloth over time? It starts to mildew and have a funny smell to it, that’s what!
Luckily, paper towels are there to serve as a drying tool that can be used to wipe up wet stuff (surfaces, hands, etc.)… and then THROWN AWAY!
No wet towels lying around catching mildew; no having to wash them; and, if you can’t find a tissue to use when you have to blow your nose, they make for a GREAT substitute!
Ah, paper towels… now THAT’s something to be thankful for!
