#0058: Pre-paid Phones

It’s important to be able to stay in contact with the various people in your life – friends, family, business associates, etc.

But what happens when your finances become less than perfect and you’re unable to momentarily keep up with a monthly phone bill? Do you fall off the radar and tell people to stop contacting you? Do you re-learn to communicate using smoke signals or the “two cans and a string attached” method?

Well, you COULD do that… OR, you could go with the better alternative: buy a PRE-PAID PHONE!

With a pre-paid phone, you don’t have to worry about keeping up with a monthly contract.  All you have to do is go to just about any store and re-stock up on minutes, the amount of which is based on how many you can afford.  If you only have $20 or $30 on you, you can get a lower set of minutes (usually around 200-300), and you can always buy more if you run out.

Now, instead of worrying about whether or not the phone company is going to cut off your phone because you can’t afford the monthly payments, YOU get to determine how much those payments are!

And the best part? If you don’t have a lot of money, most pre-paid phones start out pretty cheap.  You can get a basic phone (meaning no internet or other high-tech upgrades) for as low as $20 if you just need something to talk on without breaking your budget!

Ah, pre-paid phones… now THAT’S something to be thankful for!
