#0083: Being Able to Take a Vacation

You wake up, you go to work, you work hard, then you go home and deal with your family.  The next day, you wake up, you go to work, you work hard, then you go home and deal with your family.  Then, the next day, you wake up, you go to work…

After a while, this routine can become tedious and boring.  Don’t you deserve a break every now and then?

Yes! Yes you do!

It’s called “taking a vacation!” You work hard, and while doing so you set aside some money to save up for a trip somewhere.  Then, after weeks and weeks of saving, you take all the money you set aside and give yourself a nice weekend to go someplace and do something else OTHER than work!

Sometimes, it’s as simple as driving to another in-state city, getting a hotel and relaxing.  Other times, it may involve getting out of the state (or country!), flying to some far-off island and becoming one with nature.  In any case, a vacation allows you to remove all thoughts of work and/or home stress, and instead focus on what a vacation should be about in the first place: having fun!

Ah, being able to take a vacation… now THAT’S something to be thankful for!
