Hair. It’s one of those things that everyone has on at least ONE part of their body (sorry, baldies!). The most obvious place to find hair is on the top of the head (unless you’re bald – again, sorry, baldies!). It can also be found on the back, chest, arms, legs, and around the nether regions below our waists.
So why be thankful for it? Several reasons:
1. Hair is used as a protective covering for us against all types of things – diseases, coldness, bugs… were it not for hair, it would be much easier for us to die off from winter frosts and bed bug bites.
2. Hair is used as a mean of expressing oneself. The hairstyle a person chooses can tell you if they’re creative or conservative, happy or angry, what race they are, etc.
3. Hair makes for a GREAT song topic. There have been tons of songs where musicians have expressed appreciation for either their own hair or the person they are pursuing. My personal favorite song right now about hair is the one by Will Smith’s daughter, Willow Smith, called “Whip My Hair” – check out the cool video below!
Ah, having hair… now THAT’S something to be thankful for!
